Histological structure of the mid-shaft zone of humerus during application tibial defects with administration of sodium benzoate

Abstract

In the experiment on 280 white rats found that the application of the defect of the tibia after 60-day injection of sodium benzoate is accompanied by decreasing bone formation in periosteum of the humerus compared with the group without injection of sodium benzoate. Under dosage of sodium benzoate of 1000 mg/kg, the severity of the changes was larger than that at a dose of 500 mg/kg. The simultaneous injection of sodium benzoate and mexidol at dosage of 50 mg/kg body weight smoothed decreasing bone formation in periosteum of the humerus after application defect of the tibia.
