Vitamin D deficit and risk of dental hard tissue pathology

Abstract
Undiagnosed vitamin D deficiency is not uncommon, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D is the barometer for vitamin D status. Serum 25- hydroxyvitamin D is not only a predictor of bone health but is also an independent predictor of risk for other dental hard tissues pathologies.
