Morphometric features of lateral ventricles in persons of different age
Analyzed 80 magnetic resonance tomograms of all ages, youth, I and II periods adulthood. When comparing the performance of the lateral ventricles revealed: in boys compared with the opposite sex prevailed length front and rear horns, body and ventricular anteroposterior size of the lateral ventricles on both sides, the width of the body of the lateral ventricle to the left; in girls - width front and rear horns and length lower horns of the lateral ventricles of both sides. In adulthood in men increases following parameters: length front and lower horns, body and anteroposterior size of both lateral ventricles, the width of the left lateral ventricle body length posterior horn of the right lateral ventricle. In women, increased the length and width of the front and rear horns, body and anteroposterior size on both sides of the lateral ventricles. The presented lifetime morphometric characteristics of the lateral ventricles of the human brain in times of youth and adulthood and identified on the basis of age criteria of brain reorganization may make an anatomical equivalent standards.
