Abstract

In the thyroid gland of children dying before the age of 6 months, from HIV-infected mothers, revealed a change in the secretion of gland type into emergency holocrine, indicating on tension of compensatory possibilities of gland due to the influence of antenatal and postnatal hypoxia. Immunohistochemical study of the thyroid gland in children dying before the age of 6 months, from HIV-infected mothers revealed a decrease in the emission intensity of thyrocytes in preparations treated as ICA to T3 and T4 to ICA.
